Extension modules increase the functionality of the autopilot range.
In addition to our autopilots and command-and-control software, SkyCircuits has developed a number of powerful sub-systems that can significantly increase functionality without changing the flight control system.
Payload Extension Modules
Using the SC2 common payload extension interface, a range of extension modules have been created to enhance the avionics feature set. Whether it’s to interact with an aircraft payload, monitor additional aircraft states such as engine RPM or to log data onboard, there is sure to be a module that fits your need. If there are specific requirements for your module that are not already met by existing designs, the generic interfacing protocol means that a custom design can be created in a short time-frame at low cost.
A number of customers have asked for the ability to point a directional ground antenna at the aircraft in flight – either for extended communication range or for high-bandwidth data links, such as streaming HD video. SkyCircuits has developed a versatile ground module which does exactly that – the SCTrack. Provide a ground gimbal controlled by servo inputs, in up to 2 axes, and the SCTrack will interface with your existing ground station software to point the gimbal at the aircraft at all times. Easy-to-use calibration software and powerful integrated features in the existing avionics control software means low user-input to get the system up and running.
