Researchers typically need to gather remote data as quickly, efficiently and conveniently as possible. Very often they will have developed their own sensors and imaging systems that they want to deploy. For small payloads (less than a few kilos) a wide variety of off-the-shelf aircraft can be bought relatively easily to carry such equipment. Our autopilots can be installed and configured into these airframes with minimal effort, allowing the researcher to focus on valuable data collection.
